The OP is going back to Nogales. He can turn in his TIP and just turn around and get another. Nothing illegal about that. But if he turns in his FMM and immediately asks for another that could be a problem. Regardless if he wants a TIP or FMM he has to go to Nogales. Neither are available other than at the Frontera. So using his wife's name is of no help. I am not sure that presently the TIP is linked to your passport. It was but that may have changed. Does anyone know if they were able to use their wife's passport in the last 12 months?
