Fat tire snow biking in Yukon -- now to find hookups nearby

I had no idea there were musk oxen near Whitehorse! Not sure that it is a good idea to take my trailer to Yukon in midwinter, but it is very tempting:

Sue, thanks for those links! And what is that board in front of the truck?

That is cardboard to block the cold winter air so the engine can run warm. Very common attachment in the north in winter, even my little Honda Fit has a cover on the front so I can have some heat inside my car :B

See commercial covers available in Alaska at http://alaskatent.com/covers/grillcovers.html
Includes covers to protect your grill from all the insects in summer

Good stuff ! I’m a cyclist and do like being out there seeing things! However, I will admit that is way to cold for my Florida butt ! I did not ride today because it was mid 50s and breezy.....LOL !

Nice pics and thanks for posting !

Here in Minnesota, mid 50’s is t-shirt weather this time of the year.

And here where the deer and the musk oxen roam, if I feel like it's mid-50s, it's time to get my prescription adjusted :)

  • Musk ox are not native to this part of the Yukon. This is a 'safari' park near a major Whitehorse tourist attraction, Takhini hotsprings and campground.
