Yes, we will definitely go back to Mexico and yes, we will of course avoid Freedom Shores. Thelma was very friendly and helpful: she called the electrician right away; admitted liability; she had the electrician try and fix our fried appliances (to no avail of course) and she offered to translate for us if we could find an experienced (RV) electrician in Merida or down the road.
Yes, it's not about the money for us. Per Thelma's promise, we were expecting full reimbursement BUT we only asked for half, because:
1) I was stupid to trust the outlet (even though it *should* be working)
2) RV business in most parts of Mexico is WAY down and I didn't feel it would be fair to put that financial burden on Thelma, as she treated us well.
End of story for us unless we run into William somewhere down the line ... :D (just kidding)
