Instead of driving rebars into the ground and pouring water, it is safer to connect the jumper cables to the tube where you get the water, they normally run under ground, and there is less potential of an electrocution if the ground is dry.
Always check the polarity and voltage and ground of the contacts that you are going to use, specially if you are there for the first time that applies to Canada, the USA and Mexico, it only takes one person that hookes the right cable in the wrong place to create a disaster.
