YEAH!
Snap that grounding "caiman" around a beautiful white ABS plastic hose bib tube! Good grief, some of the answers here show that responders do not have a tight grip on the reality of hookups in Mexican RV parks.
Protection devices DO NOT WORK WORTH A DAMN when there is no earth ground. It can be a five thousand dollar isolation transformer ferroresonant line correction device - if neither phase nor neutral is connected to a proper earth ground the device is next to worthless.
Yes I am an EE. Yes I BUILT an RV park in Mexico. Yes I wired it myself. With correct gauge wire, breakers, service, and corrosion protection. None of the parts came from Mexico. Are you dreaming? A 20, 30 or 50 amp receptacle? In Mexico?
Wanna hear the typical reaction from the savvy RV'er who despite seeing a power pedestal correctly laid out went ahead and checked it anyway...?
Jesus! I don't believe it! It's all correct!
You need earth ground! You're NOT GOING TO GET IT! Live with reality not supposition. Or maybe you'd like to come down and argue with my 4 channel 100Mz Tektronix oscilloscope.
I have not encountered a single RV management who objected to my pounding in a rebar ground rod. If they are so stupid as to not understand the concept I am down the road.
