Since I am not in the habit of hooking jumper cables to gound.
My RV is equiped with a voltage and line conditioner I only hook the water hose to the water faucet and the electric cable to the electric plug or pedestal or house outlet depending on the location that we are at and the sewer hose to the sewer terminal if they have one, I also have a ground strap that I replace every time it wears down, Napa sells them.
My thought was not to create a more dangerous situation for someone that is not familiar with electric current and electrocution potentials.
I have seen some idiots water down the pedestal with water with bleach and the area arroud the pedestal then hook up the water hose to the RV and then hook up the electric cable, nice sparks because the previos idiot did not turn the brakers off.
There are a lot of persons that have no clue as what they are doing.
