I do not hook up at all if I do not see the correct Voltage and neutral forget ground in Mexico they only run two wires they have no idea what you are talking about the green wire and I do know what electricity is I rewired my hose the inspector was very happy when everyting was above code, no redoos we could run all the apliances the 240 oven the 240 jacuzy all the lights and the RV's A/C all at once with out a cirquit braker triping, I even have the new bedroom brakers the ones that detect sparks or flash I forgot the designation.
I do not have electronic equipment in the RV, we have been to many RV parks that did not have the little green wire and the line conditioner that I have is not a 99 dollar gismo, it is a lot more than a toy, permanenlty mounted to the RV and it does indicate that the neutral is not present, the refrigerator works ok on the voltage provided and the microwave does to, the tv is 12v and in Mexico we only run the A/C with the generator and the land line unpluged.
We also carry kerosene lamps para cuando se va la electricidad that way I save the battery and use the LED's intead of the incandesent lamps.
I tried to prepare the RV to be as safe as possible, my back is no longer able to pound rebar at all so I do what I can to be safe and not electrocute my self.
If someone wants to plant rebar ground rods thats OK with me all I am stating is that I have watched to many IDIOTS in the States and I hope they do not go to Mexico and get fried.
