Glacier Skywalk -- Jasper ???
Has anyone done the Glacier Skywalk? Is it worth an extra day at Jasper on our way to AK?

It may well take a day counting the lineups to park and more lineups to get on a bus. We were in the line for an hour, then decided to bail out and explore on our own. There is a large rest stop on the highway with the same view, no charge. And you don't have to stand on glass. Lots of nice creek, lake and canyon walks along the way!
The parks were crowded last year, with the highway to Lake Louise blocked after all parking was filled. With free passes for all Canadians in 2017 it will be worse. We may skip the national parks for the first time in many years.
