Grants Pass to Reno

Appreciate any suggestions driving a 36' motorhome with toad.
  • Medford to Klamath falls to Alturus south. The 100 mile stretch from medford is decent road.
  • We take this route often: I-5, 89, 44, 36, 395. Just not in the middle of winter.
  • Dont know the highway number but i turn off at Weed and go through Susanville.

This is very doable in any RV. BTDT many times.

It's been hot 109 in the Rogue Valley so leave early to avoid over heating, saw that their have been several vehicle fires on I5 in Oregon and Northern Ca. the last few weeks.

    Our favorite unless it's snowing.

We take this route twice a year in our 44 footer. Can be a little narrow in places, but mostly very good road. There is one underpass (train tresses) that has warnings of low overpass, but we are around 13' and have no problem with it.
