Headed to Ft Payne, AL from FL

Planning on going up to visit Desoto State Park in a couple of weeks, and was wondering if anyone had any advice they could share with us. The plan is to travel through Atlanta via I75. We are leaving out of Gainesville FL. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Use the HOV lane on I 75. You can go right thru Atlanta with out any lane changes. And yes it is legal to tow in the HOV lane as long as there are 2 people in the truck. Be sure to check out Little River Canyon when you get there also check out Randy Owens farm ( singer from the group Alabama ).

    We really enjoy DeSoto and will be camping there next week. I'd recommend the sites on the upper loop, if you can get one.
