Hey, neighbor! Hope you are enjoying Yosemite, beautiful place.
I took I-70 through Denver to go to Vegas a couple years ago. Beautiful route, but you will have a couple 11,000 foot mountains to cross. It'll be interesting to learn how well your gasser pulls those peaks, if you elect to go that way.
I passed through Denver about mid-day, and so camped far from Denver, both sides. But do take a couple days to see the sights in Denver. Maybe pop north a bit to Fort Collins area and visit Rocky Mountain NP.
