Heading to East Coast

We are planning a trip to Booth Bay, Main, then plan to head down the East Coast on 95 thru New Jersey. (Spending time in Atlantic City) All the post I have read said to stay off 95 in Boston & NY.
We have a 40' Fifth wheel. Any recommendations?
Roads and Routes

    I will look 4 you on the road, I am drivin the Grayhawk to cape cod ( scusset beach) on Friday afternoon from Buffalo.
    Bring some ice, I got everything else covered.

    Best route IMO is come down the NY thruway. Albany down to 287. 287 to the garden state parkway...

    You will have a nice ride.

    I would come down 95 South to 287 West in NY (Tappan Zee Bridge)and then down 287 South in NJ. This will put you on the other side of the Hudson River and into NJ without dealing with 95 through NYC and the George Washington Bridge. Enjoy your trip.
