Highway 24 Ohio

I'll pick 24 up in Perrysburg Ohio and taking it down to I-69 at Fort Wayne. Thanks all for the info, 24 sounds like a good ride.

The New 24 is one great road and still discovered by the idiots...

I can't tell you about fuel stops except be sure to get fuel before you cross into IL.

You are in Monroe? As you go south on I-75 look for Alexis road just into Ohio. There is always fuel at good prices there.

You will like 24. It is a good road. Major truck stops at the I 65, I 69, and I 57 interchanges. Other locations as well, but these are BIG FUEL STOPS.
This is by far the best and the cheapest way to travel Indiana. Good food at the I 57 truck stop in Gilman, Ill. NE corner of the intersection before you make the right turn to cross I 57. The servings are FAR BIGGER than most RV owners need or can eat and drive again. Good place to sleep in your RV. Very safe area and a lot of room. Parents are buried here and we have traveled this route from Lima, Ohio to Gilman, Ill. many times.

The old 24 was a two laner but the new divided 24 is now open. If your GPS hasn't been updated don't follow its directions just follow the signs. By the way with most traffic on the new 24 the old route is very scenic and relaxing.

Last year we took route 30 across Ohio to avoid the toll roads, then picked up route 24 after going around Fort Wayne on route 124. As already mentioned, route 24 (and route 30) is a good divided highway. IIRC, the speed limit was 55mph. As a heads up, after Logansport, route 24 becomes a 2 lane road. We had originally planned to stay on 24 all the way to MO, but got tired of the slowdowns and traffic lights and picked up I55 in IL.

If you are heading further west, route 36 all the way across MO is another good divided highway.
