Hot springs to visit

We are beginning to plan for next year. Question to ask is can anyone recommend any hot springs in the WEST that are associated with RV campgrounds?

We have been to Ouray, and Thermopolis, Pagosa Springs ,palm springs, but want to go north towards Glacier NP and do a tour of springs on the way.. Do not want spa's or bath houses. Not into hiking to get to one either. So looking for public springs in maybe Utah, Idaho, Montana we will work back to wyoming. But part of trip may go to Teddy Roosevelt park in dakotas?

Anyhow if anyone can share good one go ahead and PM with names. Have found LO LO, Saratoga etc, but few others with close access to springs.

TIA Hank

In Montana there is one just north of the Idaho border on US93 - lodge and pool.

In Idaho, Chalis and New Meadows have commerical pools.

    These are in the mountains.

BC also has a lot, especially in the SE.

Wow, I didn't realise that there were so many hot springs in ID. We don't have half as many in BC.

Looks like we might have to see how many we can do in one trip.
  • sunbug done did that and yes there are many. But as I said I cannot do the primitive ones so need to know which are public pools with possible rv connections. We were just in Hot springs ark and all they have to offer are bath houses and spa's, something we do not care for. Public pools are just better in our opinion.

As to Pagosa Springs there is a SPA and there is one hot spring pool with a small rv park associated with it. We go there often, was just there last month. Now looking for maybe something similar in other places. A lot of commercial ones come up on searches NM is typical in that almost all are spas.

BTW there is a new RV park in Pagosa Springs, still under construction. we were told of it last year and visited it this summer, as I said it is still under construction, should turn out nice.
  • Challis Hot Springs RV Park is in a gorgeous area of the Sawtooths in Idaho.
  • Challis Hot Springs Rv Park, Challis Idaho is great.

Natsupah (sp) near Twin Falls Idaha

Lava Hot Springs Idaho has Hot springs with RV accomodations.

Idaho and the west have many to chose from. Google Hot springs in the West
  • There are a number of baths of various temperatures in Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Wonder where they came up with that name?
  • Desert Hot Springs in CA is great! We stopped at an RV campground there and the pools were fantastic. Even better, it convinced my wife that getting a hot tub at home was a good idea!
