Just curious - did anyone notice this error in translation? This might make you think US plated vehicles are exempt? That is not what the phrase in the law says. Below is the law with a different translation. This is why I ask that those who are fluent in Spanish read over the law to try to find where it might say something different that what I have been led to believe by my translation and/or Google Translate. Please post the line from the law in both Spanish and English as I have done.



CUARTO.- Todos los vehículos automotores de servicio particular y de carga ligeros (automóviles, camionetas tipo van y pick up) con placas de circulación del extranjero o de otras entidades federativas distintas a los Estados que integran la Comisión Ambiental de la Megalópolis, que no porten el holograma de verificación vehicular "Exento", "Doble Cero" o "Cero", se les considerará como holograma "2", ajustándose a la limitación de la circulación señalada en el Acuerdo TERCERO del presente instrumento; y adicionalmente deberán de limitar su circulación de lunes a viernes de las 05:00 a las 1 1:00 horas.
