Hurricane to Mt. Carmel UT -- thru Zion or Colo City?

We are planning to drive from LA to the Bryce area next month. We are not going to stop in Zion, although we love it there -- we have been there several times. So this is the question -- what is the...

I was going to say, if your going to Mt Carmel from Hurricane, to go through Zion. A little different what your saying in going to Bryce. We did day trip from Hurricane to Bryce this summer. Went through Zion on way up and took 20 and I-15 on way back. We came back a lot faster on return trip.
