- noe-placeExplorerAre you asking about rv campgrounds or what? There are a few cgd's in that area for rv'ers.
- anon125Explorerthanks, yes rv parks
- ezgoinExplorerI'll follow this thread as I've been researching RV parks in the same area. From what I've seen so far, there is not much near Carmel. You'll probably end up north of Monterey. Marina or even Santa Cruz.
- Campfire_TimeExplorerYou could try the Moss Landing KOA. It's a bit pricy and the sites are a bit close together, but its about 30 minutes north of Monterrey, very clean, and very quiet. It's also big rig friendly.
Also, within walking distance is Phil's Fish Market and Phil's Snack Shack. Great seafood, and great breakfast/lunch offerings. The Snack Shack opens very early as I recall. - CarlGeoExplorerMarina Dunes RV in Marina is a real nice park. Just a couple of miles from Pacific Grove. We have stayed there and really enjoyed the park.
- LowRyterExplorerLooked like a nice place down in Big Sur
- linnemjExplorerWhen we were in that area we stayed at Pinto Lake Park in Watsonville, CA. It was about 30 minutes from Monterrey. Check out the reviews on RV Park Reviews.
Small local park in a quiet area at a lower cost compared to the large RV parks in the area. It worked out very well for us! - Marv_HoagExplorerIn Monterey, just a parking lot with hookups. Fair grounds is very convenient, but definitely not pretty or that quiet.

It's a bit off the beaten path, call first to see if your rig will fit.
As I recall they have a length limit. - WavespriteExplorer IILaguna Seca Raceway has some spots, between Monterey and Salinas. Big Sur has quite a few, but mostly reservations would be needed down there. The Fairgrounds is, well, the fairgrounds.
If you don't mind driving about 30 miles, there is Pinto Lake or Mt. Madonna county Parks in Watsonville. There are a couple of state parks up that way too (Seacliff, Sunset and New Brighton).
In downtown Monterey there is Veteran's Memorial Park. No hookups, first come first serve, but close to everything.
