Hwy 287 from Amarillo, TX to Limon, CO
How is this road for a 40' motorhome pulling a toad? Can't tell from the map about elevation changes, are there any long pulls ? This would be a spring, late May, trip next year. Thanks.

Agreed, no significant grades of concern and the construction (bypass on 335 N) through Amarillo seems to be completed and is swift and sweet (without all the unsynchronized street lights).
The highway through Dumas, Clayton, Raton to 1-25 isn't bad at all (during daylight to avoid the wildlife).
(IMO) Raton Pass isn't much of a big deal either as long as one hits Denver on the right day and time.
