Hwy 395 the length of California

It has been since back in the 70's I was on this road. Has anyone been on it lateley. Are there any RV parks along the way that anyone knows about and is there a gas problem (especially in the Northern part of the State)

We are thinking about going this route from Washington State to Barstow then on to LV. We are in absolutely NO hurry.

Also wondering how this road it in condition wise (I don't want to beat the RV to shreds)

    I always wondered about 395 in claif. does it have the same amount of pot holes per mile as the rest of the roads in claif.

    We were onit today. It's a great road thru Calif. In Mammoth Lakes right now, temp is 38.1, low last night 24.6 high today was 67.1. Saw a lot of wild horses east of Mono Lake. Off to Bodie and Yosemite tomorrow. Have a great trip.

    X2 on Meadowcliff in Coleville Ca. It's right on 395 and has some road noise but quiets down real nice at night. Great little park.

    we love 395! We just did it once again in June. All towns have fuel...no problem. The road is in excellent condition with many campgrounds. Go for it!

    Yes 395 connects from I15 and continues to Reno. Goes all the way to Canada. I think it starts at I15 but I might be wrong there.

    I have found fuel is cheaper at Fort Independence, 2mi N of Independence and has been for several years now; just 2 weeks ago Diesel was 4.09 at the Piute Palace in Bishop and 3.99 at Fort Independence.

    I15 to Reno has always been a great drive. Someday I want to get all the way to Canada on that road.

    A great stop is Meadowcliff RV Resort in Coleville , CA 78 miles South of of our home base in Reno.

    A jewel in the Eastern Sierra's. Besides the gorgeous views and the great CG there is a very good restaurant adjacent to the entrance.
