Working on our 2016 trip. How is Hwy 82 to Aspen CO.coming off Hwy 24. Will be pulling a 35' fiver. Also any good full hookups campgrounds in the Aspen area.

Can't go that way with your rig. This is a very narrow road in places. I've had to back up as a dually PU with camper coming the other way was too wide to pass.
Living in Glenwood Springs, you'd know much better than I. But I just drove from GS to Aspen last weekend in the car. We stayed on 82 and I don't recall seeing any tight spots on 82.
Wife was saying how we needed to come back for a visit. We're in a small Class C (23') but you got me wondering. Did I miss a narrow spot on 82? Or are you referring to one of the side roads?
Granted - Aspen town roads were pretty tight.

Your post indicates you're going to be in the Arkansas River Valley (Hwy 24); why not consider staying at one of the many campgrounds in the valley, in Buena Vista or Leadville and surrounding area? Check rvparkreviews.com for specifics on those 2 towns, or do a search here. Stay in the valley and do the Aspen area trip as a day trip would be a good alternative.
