- SGTJOEExplorer IIMade it home to Salt Lake from Las Vegas today. I-15 is open to most traffic. Only one lane in a few places but it is paved and good. Traffic was light, no problems at all.
- Golden_HVACExplorerIt would be good idea not to be the "First out on the newly opened road" as there is probably a lot of trucks with deadlines to meet, and they will be out there all night to get where they need to be.
Traffic should lighten up after a couple of days back to normal flows.
Fred. - SGTJOEExplorer IIThanks for the update, I'm watching the rain forecast from here to SLC, UT. for tomorrow and it doesn't look good. One more day in Las Vegas (maybe) won't bother the wife.

So in 15 minutes you are good to go! - JJnLillyExplorerCheck the NHP site. When we left several days ago they were only letting single POV's on I15.
- SGTJOEExplorer III'm sitting in Las Vegas currently and am heading home to SLC, UT in the morning. I've heard they have a North bound and South bound lane open where the interstate washed out. Anyone know if a 40' MH towing a car is allowed to use it yet? Any rv'ers out there used it yet??
I came down the detour last week and really don't want to face all the big rig traffic again. - JJnLillyExplorerI15 reopened for passenger vehicle traffic only this afternoon. Trucks, Buses and RV's still need to go the long way around.
- JJnLillyExplorerThanks. Just checked the NHP website and only vehicles not towing are allowed that way. Bet the guy you saw was from the park or got on after the police were directing traffic.

We are setting in Panguitch planning on heading to Las Vegas on Thursday. Towing a 35' 5R. Hope we can use the 'cars' bypass.
We were in Zion yesterday and park basically closed due to rock and mud slides. Highway 9 into park from east closed before and after long tunnel. We had to exit to the wast to get pack to Panguitch - 120+ miles.
We made it through. Saw a truck pulling a trailer headed South on 169, so I think you'll be okay. There was a police officer at exit 93 directing traffic.
Beautiful drive through Hwy 167 North along Lake Mead. We didn't take I15 North out of Vegas, because we just didn't want to chance getting routed through the Hwy 93 North detour...that route sounded too much.
Safe travels to you! - JJnLillyExplorerWe are setting in Panguitch planning on heading to Las Vegas on Thursday. Towing a 35' 5R. Hope we can use the 'cars' bypass.
