I 40 in Oklahoma
Will be traveling thru Oklahoma in a few weeks and wondering about the surface condition of I-40 from New Mexico line to Oklahoma City.Haven't been thru OK for a few years and my memory is potholes and worse. Thanks for any info.

- It's not the smoothest highway, but we were over it two weeks ago and its not too bad.
- It was fine in August.
- We traveled it a couple of weeks ago, no problems.
- Much much better than 5 years ago, especially around OKC.
- The hwy itself is in pretty good shape but the bridges are terrible. You will be cruising along just fine then along comes a bridge with lots of potholes so just be prepared.
- Thanks for the replies. It was 5-6 years ago when I went thru and it was a nightmare, thought I'd lose everything except the trailer hitch.
