- Jim_ShoeExplorerNative Cincinnatian here. Thru on I-75 is 25 miles. Around on I-275 E is 40 miles. I-275 W is 48 miles. All three choices cross the Ohio River. Lots of truck traffic going thru on I-75. We're kind of the choke point for I-71, I-75 and I-74. I'd take I-275 E.
Road construction? With all that truck traffic, always. 1 AM would be a great time. The bars are still open until 2:30, so fewer drunks. :) - BurbManExplorer II

It wasn't that bad on a Sunday when I was through there, I took 75S to 71S back home. There is heavy construction, but 2 lanes are open and the pavement is smooth, although the lanes are narrow. Pay attention to the "trucks use left lane" signs, and use the left lane with the trucks. I would avoid it at rush hour. - s_N_sExplorer

You know I took the East route last time, maybe I'll try the West this time. - jcsbExplorerdowntown Dayton OH
Some construction in Cinti, but at least 2 lanes open. - Gary_DietzExplorerAvoid going through downtown Cincinnati , take 275 either east or west.
Gary - wannavolunteerFExploreras a Georgian, I will tell you there is always construction somewhere on I75 with 300 miles of it from North to South of the state.
- JiminDenverExplorer IIWhat about Detroit to Flint? I need to drive up tomorrow for a last minute trip home.
- lj2654ExplorerI 75 is still a big mess from hwy 54 south into tampa
- Matt_ColieExplorer IIYou can use the AAA site without being a member and as soon as you pull the planned route up, work areas will be marked. Then you can print it and use it to plan stops. That way you can plan to not be in the choke areas during drive time.
