I-95 Fredericksburg to DCA tolls?

Are there tolls to travel towards DCA on I-95/I-395 from Fredericksburg? Looked online and saw mentions of express lanes in some areas but am unclear. How many regular lanes vs toll lanes? Late morning travel times should avoid rush hour I hope.

If you are using google maps, be aware that her default is to guide you TO the toll express lanes. She'll be telling you which lane to get into, without informing you that this lane choice will result in you going into the express toll lanes.

At least that was my experience.

The same holds true for the Waze app as well.

No tolls in regular lanes. F'burg to DCA can be a mess any time of day, but 10am to 2pm should be the best period going north.

None, so long as you use the regular right lanes on I-95/I-395. Express Lanes in the middle require EZPass.

DC area highways, typically referred to as DMV, tends to be traffic prone through-out the day, among the worst in the country.

STAY OUT of the EZ Pass/Express lanes.. they have restrictions, such as 2 axle vehicles only... I found this out the hard way 2 years ago... $211.00 later and I will never tow my trailer in those lanes again.. Yes, I learnt my lesson..
Yet as I was on the side of the lanes pleading my worthless case with the LEO, no less than 3 or 4 commercial tractor trailers and or trucks and boats passed me going ways...
