  • Geeze give me a break. Its obvious I meant US 95 since I said Idaho. For those of you that have nothing better to do than point out my error forget I asked the question. For those of you that gave me informative input I thank you very much.
  • I-95 doesnt run any where near Idaho, it runs up the East coast
  • It's US-95, not II-95. Blythe, CA (at I-10) to Eastport, ID on Canadian border. Goes through Las Vegas and Fallon, NV, Eastern OR, Western ID through Coeur 'd Alene all the way to the border. I have driven a fair share of it up here in the NW; very scenic through the Palouse and the Idaho Panhandle. Pretty much all small town America.
  • It's going to be difficult getting to Idaho on I-95. :S

The OP mus be talking about US95.... The N/S Interstates start with low numbers on the West side of the US.

We live close to to I95 here in VA that runs from Maine to Flordia...
  • I95? Isn't that an east coast freeway number? I15 crosses the eastern part of Idaho.

US95 comes up from Nevada, entering Idaho south of I84, and generally stays on the west side of Idaho. It's the major NS highway connecting southern Idaho to the panhandle.

There's a gradual climb to New Meadows, a drop to Riggins (Salmon River), another climb at White Bird (perhaps the biggest grade) to a plateau. A gradual drop to Lewiston (lowest point in the state on the Snake River), followed by a more abrupt climb out of that valley, and a rolling plateau to I90.

All grades are designed for modern traffic, including 18 wheelers.
  • It's a good drive with a RV and May shouldn't be a problem. You'll be going through some of the beautiful Palouse countryside with rolling farm fields.
