I65 thru birmingham
Does anyone know how to get thru Birmingham Al. not on I65. I 65 is very, very, very, rough in Birmingham.

OK, I'll eat crow when I have too. Sorry, you are correct, it was Birmingham, not Montgomery! I have too much "passion" about that stretch of road and just get all yanked out of joint because of it. I suppose I shouldn't let "emotionalism" drive me that much on this subject!
Still, to avoid I-65 completely in Alabama, we came back to Indiana via Georgia. Probably the best way to skip around I-65 is to go on 31 and 3, but then, according to the maps, looks like you're going right in the thick of town.
