Insurance for Motorhomes Out of Canada Long Term

We are planning an extended trip from Ontario to the US. Our motorhome would be out of Ontario for 7 months. We have been told by our present insurance company, and another one, that this is not per...

Would be interested in the answer as we have the same problem in AB. We will be out of AB for 7 months (but only in the USA for 6 months). Everything is correct as far as AB Health, IRS, Homeland Security etc but insurance company has a problem. I understand their concern (spending less than half the time in the insuring province so should be insured elsewhere) but really what could we do?
