- ramyankeeExplorerWe stopped at the Pilot in Klamath Falls and there is an RV lane at the front/North side of the Station. We completely forgot to call ahead.
- RGar974417ExplorerWe like most Flying J's because of their RV lanes. We only ever came across one Pilot that had them.
- hotjag1Explorer III fill up exclusively at truck stops and have never seen gas in the truck lanes. The RV lanes usually have both.
The Pilot at Biggs Junction only had diesel in the truck lanes when I was there last spring. - profdant139Explorer IIYou might want to call ahead to the Pilot station -- we have found that some do have RV lanes that are very convenient, and others don't have those lanes at all.
I sure wish that the various gas stations would control the direction of traffic flow, the way that Costco does. It can be a crazy scramble as cars and RVs come from all directions toward the pumps. - ChooChooMan74ExplorerI agree. I always use Google Earth views to spec out stops.
Google View
Also, you can see if the have RV lanes on their web site.

I am sure there are some out there, but we have never seen gasoline in a truck lane at a truck stop. If they have posted RV Lanes, they usually have diesel and gasoline. The car lanes will all have gasoline and some MAY have diesel. Just my experience. Most Flying Js have RV lanes and some of the Pilots have added RV lanes since buying Flying J. I usually use Google Earth to look and see if they have RV lanes to the side of the auto lanes. I believe their web site will also say whether they have RV lanes or not.
The Biggs Pilot doesn't look like it has RV lanes however the Shell on the Southeast corner of that intersection looks like it has very easy access to the gasoline pumps with plenty of room to maneuver.
While it might not be 100% accurate or up to date, using Google Earth to scope out fueling stops or even CGs can often give you good insight on many things. When staying at a CG near any "metro" area I always like to see what generally is around the CG so I don't pick one next to an interstate or RR tracks for instance. Also, the street level view in google maps is another source for more detailed information about locations. As mentioned only caveat is all this info is dated so that has to be taken into account and is not real time.
Larry - tatestExplorer IIIf it is a Pilot truck stop, the truck lanes are diesel only.
If it is a former Flying J or a large Pilot travel center, there may be arV lanes with gasoline, or you may be going into the car lanes, which will have gas and maybe diesel.
But Pilot has also done a lot of expansion, and you'll sometimes find the Pilot is just another little convenience store off the Interstate with two pumps or four pumps, maybe dieghsel, maybe not. In Missouri, along I-44, at least.
Pilot as a brand is no guarantee of anything in particular. - PawPaw_n_GramExplorerLooking at Google Maps aerial photos on the satellite view - I don't see any RV lanes. It looks like one of the older stations that can be hard to get in and out of with an RV at the gas pumps.
The gas pumps are located about 60 feet from the parking at the front of the store parking and have about 30-35 feet on the side away from the store. It looks like the preferred entrance is from near the intersection and into the pumps while facing the store. You should be able to pull in swing wide and get to the far outside pump away from the street and then have clearance to pull forward and back out to the street.
The data on the store in the My Pilot apps says the RV Card is accepted at the gas pumps for a discount, and in the store.
BTW - I have no difficulty pulling into such a station and waiting with my rig limiting access to the other pumps until the far pump is available. If someone with the store says something - I tell them their company encourages me to use their stores - and I do. Also whenever I visit such a station, I will send an e-mail to corporate complaining about not having RV lanes at that location. - Us_out_WestExplorer

The Pilot in question is the one in Biggs Junction on I-84, on the Columbia River.
You should have mentioned that. What State? WA, OR?
All Pilot Flying J stations may not have the same islands.
Did you go online to check out the station? - accsysExplorerI am sure there are some out there, but we have never seen gasoline in a truck lane at a truck stop.
