While I wouldn't completely rule that out, the last two responses (from Wilco & Hamops) were actually helpful and seemed to have come with fairly direct input from Shaw. Perhaps one of them is a Shaw exec......
I'm no Shaw Exec, but I did make contact with one of their people to get clarification on their new policy. The Spokesperson from Shaw stated that now that their new satellite is service, an Head Office decision was made to no longer support RVr's whether in Canada or the U.S. As of May 31,2013, Shaw will support fixed location customers only and only at the billing address. If you have a cottage and use you dish temporarily there, no support will allowed unless you have a separate account for your cottage with all the applicable fees and charges that go with it .
That is good info to have. Now, I will make sure that I always tell Shaw that I am at my billing address anytime I have to contact them for support (regardless of where I am physically). Thanks Hamops!
