Jackson WY Fuel Stop

We are planning a trip to Yellowstone this summer and our route takes us through Jackson, WY. Anyone know the best fuel station that has diesel and I can fit my 5er into? Thanks in advance.
  • There is a shell station on Broadway 580 West Broadway Ave
Jackson, WY 83001 (US 26-89) just before you go into town on the south side. Look up the address on google maps, earth view and zoom in to street view and you can see the entrance and exit. The diesel pumps are on the right side facing the station.
  • Depending on your route, if you go through Alpine Junction, there's a Chevron (I think that's the brand) that we pull in to and refuel with our fiver.
  • Alpine Junction as mentioned above would be the best place before hitting the craziness of Jackson. It's good for big rigs and it's a huge place.
  • This is just exactly what Google earth is for....
Get the location (N43°29'W110°46') go there and look for either stand alone pumps (always the truck pumps, or a high (look at shadows) roof. Then go to street view and look at it. Between that and GasBuddy, I haven't been wrong yet. I don't always drive the little antique coach.

  • Smiths Grocery Fuel has diesel (Kroger, use your fuel points) and the Maverick near Smiths also has diesel. Maverick is easier to get rig in and out. Both places are BUSY!
  • Looking at Shell and Chevron mentioned above, using Google Earth street view, Shell looks more accessible and has a bigger lot. I see three diesel pumps off to the right.
  • Thanks for all the suggestions. When I plan out a trip, I use Google maps to get the route down, then I use the Allstays Camp & RV app to look for Campgrounds, low bridges, rest areas, road grades, and truck stops along the way. I check the satellite view on Google maps to make sure the truck stop is good to go. I also use Gas Buddy to double check the Allstays and for prices.

The reason I had asked was the Shell station seems to be the only place to get diesel where my rig will fit. There doesn't seem to be any truck stops. I was concerned about having enough room to drive around behind the Shell station to get out. I'm coming from the East, so getting fuel at the Idaho border isn't an option.

Thanks again for all your help and suggestions.
  • What about in Dubois, Wyoming for fuel? I remember getting some there but I think our rig was at the CG.
