Google maps shows a lot of construction work going on in the north bound lanes but I don't know the exact situation. You might take the 285 bypass as it isn't showing much construction on it.
The construction work going on is adding toll lanes north of I285. Should not be a issue.

X2 this. I too go straight thru, but anything can happen on any given day.
