- jnharleyExplorerWe usually just drive straight thru. Never had any issues.
- Shot-N-AzExplorer95 is certainly interesting through there.

I live in Jacksonville and I would and do take 295 east. It adds about 10 minutes to your drive but those 10 minutes are relaxed. You will go over the Dames Point Bridge and might see one of the cruise ships and also look out to the left at the top of the bridge and see downtown in the distance. I forgot it's about 10 minutes to my house probably longer all the way around town but I would say worth every minute. I95 thru town has to many lanes going different ways. I295 going east has a grass medium between oncoming traffic.
In addition to that if you break down on 95 south of the airport road and north of University Blvd you may get run over or murdered before you get help. Just saying - bobsinnExplorerI like 295 East
- The_Painting_TeExplorerRte 295 East is the best; too much construction on 95 and 295 West seems to attract most the truck traffic. Camp on!

- fla-gypsyExplorerIf you plan to continue south take I-295 east beltway. Far better road than I-95, trust me on this I live here.
- trop-a-calExplorer95 left lanes as many merges on right and right is for I-10 West. Just watch your rush hours 7AM to 9AM and 3:30 to 6 PM. M-F. Cell 511 is for traffic info.
- I_am_still_waynExplorerI-295 east all new highway best way to go
- Turbo_Diesel_DuExplorerLatest and greatest is now 295 which replaces the old 9A on the south side of Jax. Rush hour is still the same but bear right after the Dodge Dealer so as to merge into I-95 about four miles past and swing on down onto I-95.
