Minor detail.
I was living in Newfoundland, western Newfoundland during the construction phase. Radio coverage for coastal Labrador was local radio coverage for me.
I heard of the adjustments that had to be made on the coastal part of the TLH right after those parts were done and I traveled part of the coastal road before the push to the completion of the TLH.
What is more the organization I worked for has points of operation throughout the province, people whom I was in regular contact with. The construction of the modern TLH was a part of my regular life in them days. No I can't site chapter and verse of the upgrading of the western section of the TLH, but it was done. When I passed through on my 2006 trip those who live there told me of how it had been improved.
& I'm quite sure that trying to put down and make poor of the work that was done is in error.
Like I said, minor detail, my daily life during that construction.
The point for people traveling is that the road is well constructed and may be slow as all gravel roads are, but if it can take heavy mining equipment an rv is small potatoes.
