Now that folks have given us answers about how to get to Gettysburg from Cherry Hill RV park, we are thinking about hitting Lancaster first. If we do decide to do this, how should we access Lancaster...

Interesting-er and interesting-er.. for simplicity, I'd just take I-95N to I695N/W instead of the 32 to 29 to 70 to 695. Are you doing that for less mileage? hassle? etc?
Yeah, I caught that too and wondered why you'd want to go out 32 and double back instead of just staying on 95 to 695.
Mainly to avoid traffic. 95 and 695 are very busy Roads.
Spending less time on them will avoid traffic and potential headaches.
During peak time both 95 and 695 can slow to a crawl.
Going via MD-32 will be all highway driving no traffic lights
However if you prefer to use fewer roads 95 to 695 is an OK alternative other than the potential for traffic.
