The further I went in the Baja was Bufadora, I was in the Ensenada area for a week. This was in april in 2007 and I did not have any camping book but found it very easy to find a campsite either near Bufadora, Ensenada or Rosarito and in between. In Rosarito I was in a hotel resort with camping by the ocean, there was only one other camper. I guess there are many Americans going to the Baja in summer, there where many condos rising up in the area at that time, taking the old houses down.
It is just that there are so many saying that campgrounds are closing in Mexico.
