We take the Ferry 2-3 times a month....the entire Throgs Neck bridge GW thing is always a MESS....rattles the hell out of your RV.....I gladly pay the ferry fee, Liesurely ride through wine country, 1 hour twenty minutes on the deck of the ferry crossing the sound .....to each his own....BTW if you factor in Tolls and gas it's not much more....even if it was its worth it to us....
