Louisville KY to Galveston TX routes
Have a trip to Galveston Island at the end of June in our 26 ft Class C. Will probably take two and a half day to make the trip down from Louisville. There appears to be 3 options, AL & MS on I 65 ...

We've been going to Rockport Texas (about 200 miles south of Galveston)since 2004. We keep our 5th wheel at Barren Lake so therefore we can't do the Western Kentucky Parkway.....I-55 to West Memphis however while down there this past winter we had to make an emergency trip home without our 5th wheel and when we went back that is the route we took and we loved it. It is probably the best way to go if leaving from Louisville.
If you don't do this one and go either of your first 2 routes than I would consider going down the Bolivar Peninsula and taking the ferry over to Galveston. This would keep you out of the Houston mess.
