There were ponderings about whether it is illegal for Canadian Tire to mount LTs on a trailer. The Motor Vehicle Safety Regulations defines trailers, everything from a snowmobile trailer to a semi-trailer.
The Motor Vehicle Safety Act defines a vehicle as any vehicle that is capable of being driven or drawn on roads by any means other than muscular power exclusively, but does not include any vehicle designed to run exclusively on rails.
Thus, the laws apply to trailers, and there are regulations specific to tires.
