Mazatlan to San Carlos March 2

There were two of us, and it took us 10 hours and 45 minutes, including 1 long fuel stop, 4 pee/ stretch stops and parking. The road had serious rough stretches and wonderfully and deceptively smooth stretches. That means that you'll be rolling along at 60 and it goes to ****.
The state line between Sinaloa and Sonora was interesting. The area between the line and Navajoa was rough, then smooth with unfilled pot holes. We figure that the road conditions added another 20 minutes to our trip. Take it slow and it's all fine. Safe travels.
  • There has been a lot of rain lately. Something unusual for Sonora. Yesterday we had rain again. The water fills the depressions and patches in the road and voila it becomes a pot hole. As we get more rain the holes become even larger! Road maintenance is not the norm!
