Most motorcycles in Mexico are small displacement bikes that can't keep up with traffic so they ride to the right like bicycles. Motorists are sometimes surprised to see a motorcycle keeping up with traffic.
I ride fast so I fit in well with the flow, but it could be intimidating for slower riders. A few drivers will tailgate or try to squeeze ahead of you in their race to get wherever they are going, but we didn't have any really close calls. Despite appearances to the contrary, most Mexicans are pretty skillful drivers who know exactly where their bumper is.
