Absolutely not! I know this post is old so this reply is for that random person who does an internet search wondering if they found a nice alternate route.
We just accidentally did Mountain View Road hauling a 30’ trailer. In laws had a 24’ trailer behind us. Maps lost signal and routed us this way accidentally instead of the 20 or 128 to get from 101 to coast.
My husband and FIL are very experienced drivers w trailers on highway 1, million dollar highway, sketchy parts of Tahoe and other “trailers not advised” roads. Husband said this was the sportiest of them all (which in his language means it was absolutely crazy and dangerous).
Not only is it unsuitable for RVs and trailers, many sections are less than two cars wide, no shoulders, drops, and ends with 2.5 miles of 16% grade. We had new truck and trailer brakes and excellent, trained drivers and it was a nightmare.
Never again- if we somehow accidentally found ourselves on this road again, we’d burn the rigs and trailers, push them off the cliff and walk through the woods to the coast. It’s funny now because we are all fine, but do not ever do this road unless you are in a Fiat and hate your life. ;p
