- mx727ExplorerStraight through. I see people post the same thing about Atlanta. I always just go straight through there too. If you're timing gets off and you hit them at rush hour, just take your time and you'll be fine. Watch which lanes the through trucks are using.
- ADAD437Explorercoming north i-65 takes you out around downtown, no problem, if you know your way you can take the origional 65 thru downtown. either way nashville is not a problem unless they have a ball game, rush hour or accident. do it all the time in 35 ft mh towing.
- jnharleyExplorerWe bypass downtown Nashville by taking the Briley Parkway. There is still some construction on I-65 just to the north side of Nashville. Briley Parkway eliminates all that downtown traffic.
- Parrothead_MikeExplorerJust stay on I-65 and drive straight through. Unless you're going through during rush hour I see no problems going through Nashville.
- coolmom42Explorer IIYou can get off I-65 at exit 59, then take 840 east to exit 72, then SR109 up to I-65 at Mitchellville right on the KY state line. It will be longer and slower, but not really any good option.
- JOMOExplorerHeaded toward Bowling Green will get off I65 at William hatcher park way going to Livermore pulling a small teardrop camper.
- coolmom42Explorer IIYep, where you are headed in KY makes a big difference. A little more info would be helpful. There are lots of 2-lane options if you are headed east or west, and want to get off the interstate.
- Johno02ExplorerNot many good options going North on I65. If you were going to 1-40, there is an option. What are you driving or pulling?? After many trips through Nashville, Straight thru downtown outside of rush hours it the best shot.
- Where in KY? It will make a difference what route. No need to swing west of Nashville if you're heading to eastern KY or east if you're going to western KY.
