Navajo Nation
Last year we went from Denver to Moab and then to St George and south to Big River/Parker. This year we may be in Moab again so I'm wondering how people feel about going south through the reservation...

The Navajo are wonderful people. We've toured the reservation areas often. We stopped in a town that had a ceremonial dance celebration going on. I believe we were the only non-Navajo at the celebration. The people around us were proudly explaining the whole ritual to us. We were interviewed on their local radio station. We received welcoming smiles the whole time.
Regarding guns, do your state law checking out. We don't carry and never felt the need to do so.
Couldn't agree more. Funny that the person who claimed there were still hard feelings is from Florida. Have lived in AZ for 27 years, and, yes, there are some Indians that are less than pleasant, from what I've seen and experienced, a very small percentage. However, as a percentage, I find many more disagreeable white people. As for alcohol, you need to keep it out of sight on the rez, that's all. As long as any firearm is out of sight, and being legally transported you should have no problems.
