- n7bsnExplorerThe campground? Ya, no issues
Why would it not be? - diazr2ExplorerI think your post is not written well I am trying to be nice here. I think you could have penned it better. It sounds like you are saying you are afraid of the American Indian. Of course your not, I am sure. But well it kind of reads that way. You might want to try and rephrase the question so as not to make you out to be paranoid of those of us with a different life stiles. How about this for a post. I am going camping in Tuba City AZ on the Navajo Nation Property. Has anyone stayed at a nice campground around there that I would be welcomed? See doesn't that sound much better?
- Kiwi66ExplorerWell it is under Navajo government and have their own rules. Just wondered if there was anything we needed to know and if it was in a safe area to leave camper for the day.
Thank you - Chock_Full_o__NExplorer

Ha ha ha ha Yes she or he is ;) - eubankExplorerAlways ask. It's private property, so you can't just park anywhere.
Highway 160 runs through Tuba City east-west, but it is not the same as Main Street, which runs north-south. Turn to the north on Main Street to see more of town.
All that said, we parked across the street from the restaurant beside the Quality Inn on Main Street. The restaurant next door, architecturally similar to a giant kiva, serves a darned good Indian Taco, too. And just to the south of the Quality Inn -- corner of Main Street and Moenave Street -- is a good trading post with a bunch of interesting historical stuff.
The RV park is town is located behind the Quality Inn.
See if I can post a link to Google maps here:

For you or the Navajo?? :B:B:B - KA4EBUExplorerDon't worry, you will see the same question phrased in basically the same manner about lots of campgrounds.

Except they weren't asking about a specific campground they were asking about land controlled by the Navajo Nation. It would be like a Canadian citizen asking if it was ok to camp in the U.S.A. or vice versa. Just sayin - BumpyroadExplorerwhen I parked my car at an overlook at Canyon Dechelly somebody tried to use a slim jim and pop the door lock. I was told that if there is an old pickup truck with two old males in it when you pull in, leave one person in the car while the other goes to the overlook and then reverse the procedure.
some people who have stayed at that campground at CDC were warned not to leave any valuables out when they left for the day.
of course this could happen anywhere
