OK, so new plan:
We've already been to Grand Canyon, Bryce & Zion so lets skip Utah.
Start in SF
Up Oregon hitting Crater Lake and St Helen
Glacier
Yellowstone/Teton
Devils Tower
Rushmore
Back through???
Might I suggest reversing your route if only to travel south along the Pacific Coast. Easier to get into all the turnoffs you'll encounter where you'll want to get out and take pictures.
So I'd leave SF on I-80, head to Reno and catch US 50 across NV. Overnight at Great Basin NP if the timing is right. Tour the cave if interested. Continue on US 50 and get to I-70, then down US 491 to Durango, where there's Mesa Verde NP, Durango-Silverton NG RR, etc. From there, you can head up to Rocky Mountain NP outside of Estes Park. Then off to the Black Hills, to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, up to Glacier. When you leave Glacier, head west on I-90 to US 395 to I-84 and west down the Columbia River Gorge. From Portland, detour north to Mt. St. Helens. There are several options to get to the coast from there. Head south along the OR coast to the Redwoods of northern CA. From there, head inland on US 199 and work your way to Crater Lake. You can then catch US 97 south to I-5, and then back to SF. Many will say this is too much for a month, but since this is essentially a "farewell" tour, I'm trying to cram in as many sights into your 30 day time frame.
