Newfoundland 2016
A NL trip is the top of the destination possibilitys for the spring into summer of next year. Any suggestions for optimum time & places for viewing icebergs?

We have been to Alaska 3 times. Love The North. Never really gave NL much thought till a week ago & started to look around for where to go April-August next year. Looks like it will be less than 7000 trailer miles out of MD for us. About the same as our Great Lakes trip this year.
So far about 4 festivals have been found to do between NB, NS & NL. Always looking for weekend stuff to do. A night on Georges St, St Johns looks to be a must along with a couple of the iceberg boat tours. As a former tourboat operator never miss a chance for a boat ride with somebody else driving.
There are loads of fetivals here to enjoy. There is the Deer Lake Strawberry festival in late July, the Lewisporte Mussel Bed Soiree, in early August, the the Twilingate Fish, Food and Folk festival in late July and the Brigus Blueberry Festival also in early August to name a few. To help come up with in an itinerary check out the websites for towns, most have dates for their respective festivals.
