A NL trip is the top of the destination possibilitys for the spring into summer of next year.Any suggestions for optimum time & places for viewing icebergs?

June and beginning of July, best place is Twillingate NFLD and all along the east coast.If you do decide to go book well in advance for the ferry, it books up fast.

We were there about 5 years ago during the month of August. We saw quite a few icebergs, which was pretty rare for that time of the year. We spent a month in Newfoundland and that included a quick ferry trip to Labrador. We went across the rock from west to east (3 weeks) and then came back from east to west (1 week), stopping at those places we wanted to see more of.

We were there last week of June first 2 weeks of July 2015. We took the ferry to Labrador and camped in the only Provincial Park in Labrador, we had a view of an iceberg right from the dinette of the camper. There were icebergs at almost every place on the Northeast coast.Make sure you take warm clothes for June well into July. When we were at L'Anse aux Meadows, I had to buy a pair of hand knit mittens for Eleanor because she didn't want to go on the outdoor tour of the Viking settlement site without them. The temperature was 5 C (41 F)with a constant drizzle.Enjoy your trip. Brian

We went in 2014 the last week of May through the third week of June. Hundreds of icebergs everywhere. In 2008 we went the last two weeks of July into the first week of August and they were all gone. Saw plenty of whales that year. In my opinion, Newfoundland is the best place for RVs on the east coast of north America.
