We have been there twice, most recently in May 2014. The province has an excellent travel guide that you should order. We took the short ferry and when you arrive the Grand Codroy RV park is a great place to start (and finish) your vacation. There are many festivals in the summer and don't miss the boat ride in Gros Morne National Park. You have to walk about 3K to get to the boat but it is worth it. Newfoundland is very RV friendly and many towns have municipal campgrounds which are inexpensive and scenic.
