You can easily get wifi. Go to any Community Access Program sites in most towns and sit in your vehicle. Or library...sometimes they are together, sometimes not. We are now home but had wifi almost every day.

We are currently in Peyton Woods Campground in Twillingate. This is the first time we have had any WIFI in a week. We haven't seen any moose since we left the West coast of Newfoundland but we have seen 9 so far on our trip. Saw 6 icebergs so far. We have yet to see a whale. They either have just been there or they arrive right after we have left. We are planning to stay at Peyton Woods for 10 days as there is just so much to see in this area. From here, we will be going to Bonavista for about 6 days. Having a great time. Best trip ever.

Great picture! One morning near St. Anthony (at Triple Falls campground) we woke to our GSP barking her head off. It was quite early and we kept trying to shut her up to no avail. Opened the shade and looked outside my window; lo and behold there was a large male moose grazing just outside the motorhome.

P.S. They always took my potatoes but let me peal my onions!

Waiting to board for home. Canadian Food Inspection Agency took our potatoes to prevent spread of potato blight. All root veggies siezed because of soil contamination even if you brought them with you.

We're back down in Gros Morne National Park. We've seen 21 moose and a coyote up near St Anthony. One of the moose joined us in our campsite yesterday (and we saw him as we left this morning). Best times are around 8 PM since we went for a drive and saw 12 within a 15 minute drive of our campsite. DW is happy (and that makes me happy)

Once I was hiking with my dogs. Nice quiet sunny afternoon. Not too narrow trail, trees, but not thick understory next to us.

& I spoke to the dogs. WHOOSH right beside us, less than 10 feet away a moose rose from its rest and ran away.

Of course, we all jumped, almost out of our skins.

Been here for almost three weeks now and only saw four. One was dead on the side of the road with a car about 100 feet before it with a bullseye crack in the driver's windshield (but the car was pulled over). The other three, as head moose spotter, I didn't even see (midmorning) until they were running in opposite direction by side of road in bushes.

You want to see them from a distance...not up close. Haven't even seen them hiking...but have seen caribou hiking and one driving.

I've seen fox on two separate occasion as well.

If any of you guys are in the St.John's area of NL and need some info/help let me know here on this forum - only too happy to help ya out......

Been in Newfoundland for 3 days now... no a single moose sited (and we're in Gros Morne National Park were there are supposed to be 4 moose for every square KM). DW is not happy.
