Northbound geese? Here in PA the geese never went south. Plenty of open water and bare fields for them to feed in.
Deepest snowfall this past Winter around my area was 3 inches and that melted in two days. Frost in the ground. What frost? Couldn't even get all the dead Ash trees logged off because the ground was too soft for forestry equipment to operate without leaving permanent damage.
